Lextran celebrates 40 years of service Dec. 2 with 40-cent fares on all routes, ceremony

Lextran, Lexington’s public transportation system, celebrates 40 years of serving the community with 40-cent fares on all routes Dec. 2. All Lextran passes will be valid and accepted.
At 3:15 p.m. Dec. 2, a brief ceremony will be held at the Lextran Transit Center on Vine Street. General Manager Rocky Burke and other Lextran staff will be on hand to say thank you to the community, and enjoy coffee and donuts with their passengers.
